What is Summer Sanctus?

Summer Sanctus is a four-day / three-night summer camp designed for young people between the ages of 13-19. Our goal is to provide an opportunity for you to connect and interact with students from sister churches in settings of worship, instruction and recreation. At Summer Sanctus your days begin and end with Psalms and prayers, and in the morning you’ll attend lively study and discussion sessions.

But don’t think you’ll be stuck inside all the time! You will have plenty of opportunities to enjoy the summer days with your new friends hiking, canoeing, or playing organized games and sports. On the last night of the camp, we’ll have a traditional ball with group dances and music.

We will meet at the air-conditioned Pineywoods Conservation Center southeast of Nacogdoches, TX. The camp has separate cabin locations for boys and girls. Seven students and one chaperone will share a cabin room and bathroom. The camp has a fully staffed kitchen and dining hall where we will share meals, a recreation center and lots of space for outdoor activities.
